Dysons were the Parliamentary Agents employed by the opponents of the Boltby Water Scheme.

May 16th

Dear Henry

The long standing hearing will be on the Monday. Dysons say you must be at it to speak to the manner in which the Sanitary authority's Petition was obtained. Could you get in addition to Mr Seavers statement, Mr Cleminson of Sutton, and any other members of the sanitary authority. I think Waites of Sowerby was at it.

You will most likely have to speak as to the first vestry meeting where the promise of 2d per week was made. Dysons think the hearing in Committee may come on next Wednesday. I am looking out for Engineering Evidence. Mr Hawkesley is engaged all next week. The objections Swarbreck has lodged do not appear very strong. I think the York Herald of yesterday would not be read with great pleasure by the Thirsk Water co.

Yours truly
A C Bamlett

P.S. I saw Sir Wm. Gallwey last night he seems favourably disposed with regard to a Local Board of Health and is going to have some talk with Mr Slater Booth about it.
